By default, Vectera emails are sent in the language of your user profile. If you want to use a different language, you can edit the email templates manually. So if your profile language is Dutch, the email templates of new meeting types will be Dutch.

How to edit the language of email templates?

The email templates are automatically set to your profile language. If you would like to use a different language for a specific meeting type, you can customize the templates manually by changing the default language, by copying from another meeting type or by adding custom text:

1. Change default language of email templates

1. Go to scheduling or click on this link.

2. Scroll down until you see the meeting type that you would like to change. Click on Edit.

3. Go to email templates

4. You will see a dropdown with the default language option. Change it to the language of your preference and hit Apply. You will see that all the email templates have changed to that language.

2. Copy from another meeting type

If you already have another meeting type with the email templates you want, you can just copy it from there.

1. Go to scheduling or click on this link.
2. Scroll down until you see the meeting type that you would like to change. Click on Edit.
3. Go to email templates
4. You will see a dropdown to copy from another meeting type. Select the meeting type with the right email templates and click on the Confirm button.
   
5. Save the meeting type
    

3. Customize the template

Or you can customize the text of the template to your preference. This text can be in your preferred language. Just open the email template you would like to edit and change the text.

You can even use Markdown to put text in bold, italic, ... Just don't translate the tags {details}, #{{host_full_name}, ...! They must remain in English to show the correct information.

If you translate the template to a non-supported language (eg. Russian) the meeting title and the description will be displayed in that language but the rest of the email will be in English.

Which languages are supported?

There are 7 supported languages to translate the booking emails:

• English

• Dutch

• French

• Italian

• Spanish

• German

• Lithuanian

Are Host emails translated?

Both the host confirmation emails and the email templates are automatically set to your profile language.
