How to upload images into an active whiteboard?

During an online meeting, whiteboards are often used to take notes, to write down ideas or to find solutions. So often it's useful to add an image to that text. Here's how you do that.

Add an image to an active whiteboard

Basically, there are 3 ways to add images to an active whiteboard:

  1. Via the 'add image' icon on the whiteboard
  2. Via drag and drop 
  3. Via copy and paste

Add image icon

To add one or more images via the Add image icon you just follow these steps:

  1. Open a whiteboard or file
  2. Click on the Add image icon in the toolbar


  3. Select from where you want to upload the image



  4. Select the image(s) and click 'Open'

  5. The images will be uploaded into the whiteboard of the current page. If you have uploaded multiple images, you can select and drag them to the location of your choice on the page.

Drag and drop

You can also just drag and drop images into an active whiteboard or file:

  1. Open the whiteboard or file in the meeting room
  2. Select the image(s) that you want to upload
  3. Drag them and drop them into the whiteboard 

     

  4. Choose whether the image(s) should be uploaded into the active whiteboard or as a new whiteboard. Select Add to active whiteboard.




  5. The image is uploaded into the whiteboard


Copy and paste

This way of uploading an image into a whiteboard is very similar to the drag and drop option.
  1. Copy the image that you want to upload
  2. Do Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac) in the meeting room
  3. Choose whether the image(s) should be uploaded into the active whiteboard or as a new whiteboard. Select Add to active whiteboard.

  4. The image is uploaded into the whiteboard

How many images can you upload at once?

You can upload a maximum of 4 images at the same time.


Which image types can you upload?

 "ico", "icon", "jpeg", "jpg", "png"and "svg"*


*We don't recommend uploading svg files if one of the participants uses Safari as browser. The svg image might show differently for the other participants.
